ENGINEERING SERVICES

At Fining Group we offer in-house civil and structural engineering services on all of our design-build construction projects. Whether it be a machinery foundation/pit, structural system or a stormwater detention/retention basin, we have the expertise to engineer innovative and cost savings solutions.
Most customers prefer single-source responsibility for the design/engineering of their projects and is why they choose us to provide engineering services on their design-build projects. We seamlessly provide engineering services which leads to timely and economical building solutions for our clients.
GENERAL CONTRACTING
Our goal as a General Contractor (GC) is to minimize cost and schedule to maximize value to each of our customers.
A general contractor is responsible for providing all of the management, material, labor, equipment and services necessary for the construction of a project.
At Fining Group this is the heart of what we have been doing since 1953. We take this a few steps further by being a Self-Performing Design-Build General Contractor. We self-perform utility installation, excavation, masonry, concrete, steel erection, carpentry, siding and roofing. We feel the practice of self-performing trade work leads to a more consistent level of quality and shorter project schedules.
When we do subcontract, we have strong relationships with some of the most respected subcontractors in the region and seamlessly incorporate their services into our projects.

SITE SELECTION SERVICES
Fining Group understands when a company decides to make a major capital investment in expanding their business and decides a new site/location is needed, there are many items to consider. We have assisted many industrial and commercial companies in Northeastern Ohio deciding the optimal location to expand and relocate their business by considering and evaluating the following:

Available Sites – With our extensive knowledge of available commercial and industrial property, we can perform property searches and negotiate land/building purchases for clients while keeping their names private.

Existing Building Assessment – If a company is considering purchasing and existing building, we can evaluate the land/building to assess what improvements/repairs will be needed before occupancy takes place.

Geography – Are the existing road networks at potential new locations adequate to support the business? Is rail needed/available? Where does the existing workforce reside and how will the new location impact the existing workforce? Is the new location receptive to the business? What is the feel of the community?

Zoning – Will the proposed sites zoning fit the business use? If not, is there conditional zoning, or can the property be rezoned?

Easements and Encumbrances – By ordering an ALTA (American Land Title Association) survey we can make sure that any mineral rights, setbacks, right of ways, mine locations, encroachments, and proposed site access will not adversely affect the project.

ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES
At Fining Group we provide architectural services on all of our design-build projects. By having an “in-house” (on staff) architect, we are able to provide valuable design insight into every stage of a project and save time and money for our clients!
The practice of having an in-house architect is different from most design-build contractors who simply outsource their design/architectural services to a third party. One of our many differentiators is that we have vast construction experience and when combined with years of design expertise – we’re uniquely qualified to handle a wide variety of industrial, commercial, and institutional design-build projects.

MACHINE FOUNDATION
Fining Group, provides design, engineering, and installation services for a wide range of machine foundations and press pits. We are known for our ability to quickly assess your needs and deliver a thorough engineered solution that improves constructibility and minimizes cost, schedule, and follow-up work.
We have decades of experience designing and constructing machine foundations and press pits and have successfully dealt with a host of challenges over the years which make us uniquely qualified.
With the ability to work directly with the manufacturer and client, Fining Group is able to utilize the manufacturer’s drawings to generate an engineered foundation/pit specifically tailored to accommodate the customer’s needs.
Fining Group also participates in Turn-key installations which include all electrical, mechanical, floor plating, roof raises and building additions.
We have delivered these results reliably across many industries including automotive, manufacturing, medical, printing, steel fabrication, rubber & plastics, mold & die, and fluid power.
MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR SERVICES
Our Facilities Maintenance division fixes what is broken and keeps running what is not broken. If you have leaks, squeaks, breaks, and strange noises coming from closets or rooftops, Fining Group is here to assist you.
We have a complete staff of maintenance technicians that can handle every facet of repair and maintenance at your facility whether we built the structure or not!
We also provide preventative maintenance services and as well as an audit of your facility to show what needs fixed immediately, what needs addressed in the next year and what will need to be budgeted for in the next 5-10 years.

RE-ROOFING
Fining Group, is a full-service commercial and industrial contractor offering a full complement of reroofing solutions. We install Butler Standing Seam roofs, provide emergency leak repair service, and general roof repair.
