At Fining Group we offer in-house civil and structural engineering services on all of our design-build construction projects. Whether it be a machinery foundation/pit, structural system or a stormwater detention/retention basin, we have the expertise to engineer innovative and cost savings solutions.
Most customers prefer single-source responsibility for the design/engineering of their projects and is why they choose us to provide engineering services on their design-build projects. We seamlessly provide engineering services which leads to timely and economical building solutions for our clients.
Infrastructure
Every project completed by Fining Group is constructed soundly, beautifully and professionally by the industry’s best trades- and craftspeople. Many construction companies claim to offer construction services but don’t have the ability to provide these services with an in-house, skilled team which can be problematic when it comes time for warranty or maintenance work.
At Fining Group, we self-perform most trades including, utility installation, excavation, concrete, masonry, carpentry, steel erection, siding and roofing.
By having in-house construction services, we can provide uninterrupted work flow at our job sites and are able to provide warranty work and maintenance services in an economical and timely manner.

Residential
Design–Build (or design/build, and abbreviated D–B or D/B accordingly) is a project delivery system used in the construction industry. It is a method to deliver a project in which the design and construction services are contracted by a single entity known as the design–builder or design–build contractor.
Design-build relies on a single point of responsibility and is used to minimize risks for the project owner because the D-B contractor will be responsible for all of the work on the project. Another major benefit of design-build (versus design-bid-build) is the timeline for the project overall as well as change orders. This is because of the design phase and construction phase of a project.
Design–build is sometimes compared to the “masterbuilder” approach, one of the oldest forms of construction procedure. In contrast, the design-bid-build approach to a construction project is a very recent concept that has only been in use for approximately 150 years.

Fining Group, has a history of providing quality design and construction services. It is our heritage. It is also why our customers choose us time and again for their design and construction needs.
Fining Group was started by Donald G. Campbell in 1953. This was the same year that John Campbell the current company Owner/President was born. John worked for the family business, learning it from the ground up since he was very young.
Since its inception, Fining Group, has provided Design-Build construction services, construction management, general contracting, and construction services to the commercial, industrial and institutional markets.
We offer in-house design and engineering services and perform most of the general construction portions of our projects with our talented staff of craftspeople. We self-perform site work, concrete, masonry, carpentry, siding, roofing, steel erection, and utility installation. When you see a Campbell Construction sign, you can be sure we constructed the building.
In 1991 we opened our Wadsworth office to better serve our clients in Northeast Ohio. We now service customers throughout Ohio which include key markets in Wayne, Summit, Medina, Stark, Portage, Ashland, Richland, and Cuyahoga counties.
We employ more than 55 associates, which includes architects, engineers, designers, project managers, and tradespeople as well as craftspeople. We have a reputation for providing exceptional value to our customers by providing well thought out design concepts and innovative construction techniques. Over the years we have also collaborated with many of the region’s top architectural firms in the traditional design-bid build arena.
Very few companies offer the wide array of in-house services that we do. This type of old-world service is what makes us unique. Our buildings and our designs are of exceptional quality that endure the test of time.
